The rental bicycle service "SETOUCHI Karen," which has been loved in the Setouchi area for a long time, started anew as "SETOUCHI Current Mobility" in 2026.

The operations will be taken over by Zenmov Corporation, which advocates for tourism MaaS and MoveOps, aiming to further evolve mobility services under the themes of "tourism," "island transportation," and "regional revitalization."

The Historic Journey of SETOUCHI Karen

SETOUCHI Karen (formerly the rental bicycle business by Karen Style) is a historic project that traces its origins back to a project initiated by SoftBank and its affiliated company PS Solutions. With the support of the Fukutake Foundation, we have conducted various advanced demonstrations and services on the islands of Setouchi.

• Demonstrative experiments for island transportation using ultra-compact EVs (electric vehicles) for two people

• Development of charging infrastructure and charging solutions unique to the island area

• Electric assist bicycle rental service for tourists

• Shared ferry services connecting movements between islands

Through these efforts, SETOUCHI Karen has developed into an innovative project that has long sought to connect "tourism and daily life" through mobility.
