Philippines Clark International Airport Transportation DX Survey Project, Approved by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry

We are pleased to announce that our project for the potential study of promoting modal shifts in airport transportation at Clark International Airport in the Republic of the Philippines has been adopted for the fiscal 2024 supplemental grant for Global South Future-Oriented Co-Creation Projects (small-scale demonstration and FS projects) by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

The target Clark International Airport is expected to serve as a new hub to disperse congestion in the Manila metropolitan area, and an increase in passengers due to the North-South Commuter Railway (scheduled to open in 2027) is anticipated. Meanwhile, there is currently a high dependence on taxis, shuttle buses, and private cars, leading to visible risks of vehicle waiting in front of the airport and traffic congestion on surrounding roads.

Investigative contents of this project:

①    Airport User Survey

②    Public Bus Actual Condition Survey

③    Airport Transportation Optimization Simulation

(Survey period: From late October 2025 to late August 2026)

By understanding the traffic situation with airport user surveys and AI cameras, we will identify the factors that make public buses difficult to use. Our smart mobility platform “SMOC (Smart Mobility Operation Cloud)” will conduct demand forecasting and operation simulations to promote modal shifts to public transportation.
