Philippine Clark International Airport Transportation DX Survey Project, Selected by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry

We are pleased to announce that our project for the promotion of airport transportation modal shift at Clark International Airport in the Republic of the Philippines has been selected for the fiscal year 2024 supplementary budget for the Global South Future-Oriented Co-Creation Project by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (Small-Scale Demonstration and FS Projects).
Clark International Airport, which is targeted for this study, is expected to serve as a new hub that will disperse congestion in the Manila metropolitan area, and an increase in passenger numbers due to the North-South Commuter Railway (scheduled to open in 2027) is anticipated. However, the current situation heavily relies on taxis, shuttles, and private vehicles, and risks of vehicle waiting at the airport and congestion on surrounding roads are becoming evident.
Survey Contents of this Project:
① Airport User Survey
② Public Bus Situational Survey
③ Airport Transportation Optimization Simulation
(Survey Period: Late October 2025 to Late August 2026)
By utilizing the airport user survey and AI cameras to grasp the traffic situation, we will identify the factors that make it difficult to use public buses. We will conduct demand forecasting and operation simulation on our smart mobility platform "SMOC (Smart Mobility Operation Cloud)" to promote modal shift to public transportation.
