Signing Ceremony for the Project in Brunei

As part of the SmartJAMP support program hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, we are advancing a project with the Government of Brunei (Ministry of Transport and Communications = MTIC). This program responds to requests for support from cities participating in the ASEAN Smart City Network, and is implemented by Japanese companies. Bandar Seri Begawan has requested the promotion of the digitalization of public transportation services, and our company has been commissioned by MLIT to undertake this task as the representative company (with joint project participants including Oriental Consultants Global Co., Ltd. and the Institute of Transport Economics, and local collaborating company Smart Shield International participating in this project). This year, we are conducting a pilot project utilizing our bus operation management system, SMOC, aiming to obtain operation data and user feedback to gain a deeper and more practical understanding of the needs in Brunei for full-scale implementation in the future. On December 3rd (Saturday), as we commenced the pilot project, a signing ceremony for the MOU with local bus companies was held under the attendance of MTIC. This event was also covered by local television and newspapers in Brunei.
