Business Trip to Nanki Kushimoto - Part 1
This is I from the company. Today, I will report on the record of a business trip made by two of our employees in the spring of 2021.
A journey of 570km with ultra-compact mobility
Our destination is Kushimoto Town in Wakayama Prefecture, a town located at the southernmost tip of Honshu with a population of about 15,000 people. We received an inquiry from someone who could cooperate with our EV sharing system and Zero Travel's demonstration experiment in this area. To deliver the car, we will tackle the approximately 570km journey from Tokyo to Kushimoto Town non-stop, taking about 7 hours in our BMW i3.
BMW i3 (Photographed by our company)
Our BMW i3, being a used car manufactured in 2014, has a slightly smaller battery capacity than recent models. It can travel approximately 120km on a full charge, and being a compact vehicle for four passengers, it is designed for experiments with ultra-compact mobility.

This vehicle was purchased for use solely in urban areas, and covering a distance of approximately 570km differs from its intended usage. How many charges were required and how long did it take to arrive? Please enjoy this unusual journey.
Departure and then heading west on the Tomei Expressway.
At 7 a.m., we gathered at a certain location in Setagaya, Tokyo.
