Zenmov Co., Ltd. signs MOU with Emirates Driving Company (Abu Dhabi) for the deployment of smart mobility in the Middle East

~Providing Japanese smart mobility solutions to the Middle East market from the rapidly developing city of Abu Dhabi~

Zenmov Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Zenmov) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (hereinafter referred to as MOU) with Emirates Driving Company (hereinafter referred to as EDC) in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (hereinafter referred to as UAE) on January 28, 2025, aiming at the deployment of smart mobility solutions.

Purpose

The purpose of this MOU is to promote the introduction and deployment of smart mobility solutions in the UAE and neighboring Middle Eastern countries through cooperation between EDC and Zenmov.

• Emirates Driving Company: Build a business development foundation by leveraging networks with local government agencies and companies, promoting business as a contact point for our company in the UAE and neighboring Middle Eastern countries.

• Zenmov: Provide the technologies and product services developed in Japan and Southeast Asia in the field of smart mobility to government agencies and companies in the UAE and neighboring Middle Eastern countries through EDC.

Overview of the MOU Signing Ceremony

The signing of the MOU was executed on January 28, 2025 (Tuesday) in Abu Dhabi at the venue of the 'Transportation Workshop 2024' organized by the Japan Abu Dhabi Economic Council (ADJEC) Infrastructure Working Group, with the attendance of Abu Dhabi Mobility and the Japan Cooperation Center for the Middle East (JCCME: Japan Cooperation Center for the Middle East). Our company reported and proposed on transport operation management systems at last year’s workshop. Additionally, we have been engaged in business demonstration in the UAE smart mobility market through a project commissioned by the Japanese government. This fiscal year, we were selected for the 'Fiscal year 2024 Oil and Gas Investment Promotion Project in the Middle East (Feasibility Study)' implemented by JCCME, and under the support for startups by JCCME, we conducted business verification in the UAE, leading to the signing of this MOU.

Future Development

With the signing of this MOU, both companies will collaborate with other Japanese companies to accelerate the development of smart mobility in the UAE and neighboring Middle Eastern countries and contribute to the construction of safe and efficient transportation infrastructure.
