Scenery of Brunei – Across the Temburong Bridge – continues.

As you cross the Temburong Bridge, the rich nature of the Temburong District welcomes you.

Temburong is the easternmost district of Brunei, separated by Malaysia in between. In the south lies the Ulu Temburong National Park, which has a forest area of 550km2. Furthermore, a vast area of the Temburong District is covered in primary forest, and eco-tourism is thriving in this bountiful natural environment. The biodiversity is among the world's finest, and this nature-rich environment is a significant attraction of Brunei.

The Temburong District is an enclave.

Now, let’s head out for the jungle tour in the national park. First, check-in at the lodge!

Wajid Temburong – steamed rice with sugar and coconut!

Once we are done with our meal, it’s time to set off on the tour!

Aiming for the entrance of the jungle (is this already the jungle?)

We have arrived at the entrance of the jungle!

As we pass through the gate, a long suspension bridge awaits us.

After crossing the long suspension bridge, we then encountered a long, long uphill staircase!

The tour continues.

In the next post, I will introduce the scenery beyond the long staircase. >> To (2) continues
