The Brunei newspaper “Borneo Bulletin” reported the story the day after the signing ceremony (https://borneobulletin.com.bn/en-route-to-improved-bus-services-2/dated December 4, 2022) (Figure 10),
The following week we published an article describing this project (https://borneobulletin.com.bn/a-smooth-ride/ dated December 8, 2022) (Figure 11)
In the commentary, Zenmov Tanaka says, “In order to promote the digitalization of buses in Bandar Seri Begawan, we have visited more than 800 bus stops to confirm their exact location, explained Zenmov’s traffic management system, SMOC, to be implemented at bus companies, and educated drivers. The project is progressing smoothly.
This pilot operation is the first phase of the project, and we will continue to build a one-of-a-kind bus operation system suitable for Brunei,” the report quoted Zenmov as saying.
The commentary article is succinctly titled “A smooth ride,” which is also the goal of Zenmov’s bus digitization project.
