Water Village

Brunei has one of the largest water villages in the world.

It is called Kampong Ayer, and it is said to mean 'water village' in Malay.

Almost all the functions of a town, such as schools, hospitals, and mosques, exist on the water.

Further information can be found on the following JICA page: https://www.jica.go.jp/nantokashinakya/sekatopix/article061/index.html
